Excellence in Education Nominations Wanted! A teacher works with a student at Immaculate Conception School in Revere. Do you know an Excellent Educator? If so, nominate that teacher for the 2020-21 Archdiocese of Boston Excellence in Education Award! This award honors elementary and secondary school teachers’ commitment to developing saints and scholars in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Boston. These teachers have been nominated by parents, administrators, students, or their peers because of their demonstration of strong leadership qualities, Catholic values, academic excellence, and commitment to their students and school. Each day, they inspire students from all backgrounds and abilities to learn; they actively collaborate with their peers, students, and families to create a welcoming environment and culture of success. Five elementary school teachers and five secondary school teachers will receive the award. Timeline February 19 – March 19, 2021: Nominations Open March 22 – 26, 2021: Where data is available, teacher’s academic data will be reviewed March 29 – April 16, 2021: Award committee reviews applications using rubric Late April/early May 2021: Teachers are notified of their status May 2021: Teacher Celebration with Cardinal Seán O’Malley and Superintendent Thomas Carroll ALL are welcome to nominate an excellent educator!
