Our Lady's Academy

School Overview

Our Lady’s Academy is a Pre-K through Grade 8 Catholic school located in Waltham,  Massachusetts. Our Lady’s Academy believes that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will soar far beyond their wildest dreams. This success is accomplished by providing all students with a liberal arts education anchored in Catholic traditions. Students are offered an innovative and challenging curriculum that is taught in small classes and tailored to each child’s needs.  Our Lady’s strives to provide an environment that supports the academic, artistic, athletic, social and faith needs of the students as they grow to young adults. These needs are met within a welcoming and nurturing community of faculty and parents that is supported by a strong culture of Catholic traditions and values.

Mission Statement

Our Lady's Academy strives to support the values of integrity, respect, charity and faithfulness while living and cherishing our Catholic faith. We respect and appreciate the diversity of all cultures, and we strive to create an academic environment where every child's interests, abilities and ideas are valued, allowing for their full potential to be unleashed as their future unfolds.

Program Highlights

Our Lady’s Academy teachers are deeply committed to helping each child learn to the best of his or her abilities and to embrace new challenges. From the Early Learners Program through Middle School, the curriculum is designed to foster innovation, creativity and independent thinking while developing the whole child. Throughout the educational process, students are challenged and encouraged to use their knowledge to become independent thinkers and to make sound judgments based on Christian values. At Our Lady’s Academy, a child’s grade does not dictate what he or she learns; it is based on the needs of the child. If a child is ready to do more challenging and complex work in all disciplines, faculty focus on creating a learning environment that fulfills that need.

“When I think of Our Lady’s Academy, I have only the best feelings about the academics, sense of community and how the Catholic values and traditions are taught and practiced by the entire community.  My child is very happy, and it is amazing how her teachers tailor her learning based on her achievement levels.”
