“I love Catholic schools because they immerse students not only in the Arts & Sciences, but also in the art and science of caring. At my own Catholic elementary school, we had a simple, but excellent practice of having older students sit with younger students at all-school Mass. As younger students it gave us a sense that we were part of a community, that we were and would continue to be cared for. As older students it gave us an opportunity to reflect on the care we had experienced, and how we in turn were now able to care deeply for others.”
